Van Jones

Proponent of Green Jobs and leading voice for urban social justice.

“You're seeing the construction of a seamless web of repression from Oakland to Baghdad...we understand that locking down urban America is a part of locking down all of U.S. society and an agenda beyond that.  But what we also know is that the critical vulnerability in those kinds of plans is the human heart:  human beings have to carry out all these orders, human beings have to live with the effect of all these orders and whenever you have that human factor, there's hope.”
