Foster:
Hi everyone. Foster here and I want to take a moment today to address the growing police state and our response to it. In my own study of martials arts, from karate to tai chi to, ultimately, 15 years in the non-violent practice of aikido, I was taught and taught my students, that the primary imperative, if you want to be able to protect yourself and others, is to have an accurate and thorough assessment of what’s really going on around you. One of the main reasons Thrive is available now on the Internet for free is that a deeper understanding of our reality is only getting more urgent. I’ll describe a few recent examples, just in this country, that illustrate how desperate the would-be controllers of this crumbling system are.
First, the NSA, the National Security Agency, is completing a new surveillance center on a military base in Bluffdale, Utah. It’s a $2 billion project, it’s a 1 million square foot complex, that will gather and store every one of our phone and email transmissions from listening points across the nation. James Bamford has a recent article on this in Wired magazine that I link to at the bottom of this post.
The Supreme Court just voted 5-4 to allow suspicion-less strip searches of any new inmate, regardless of the severity of their alleged offenses.
Just a few weeks ago, on March 16th, President Obama quietly signed a dictatorial Executive Order entitled “National Defense Resources Preparedness”, which gives him the power to seize control of all resources in the nation: energy, labor, food, industry, transportation, and more, as long as it is done “to promote the national defense”. An increasingly familiar phrase, vague enough to be used for practically anything, just like the PATRIOT Act, the NDAA, FEMA camps, the assortment of cyber-security bills storming through Congress, and so much more.
In addition, Homeland Security and ICE, the Immigration & Customs Enforcement office, have recently ordered 450 million rounds of hollow-point .40 caliber bullets. There justification when pushed on this was that they would be used for target practice. But, even the military does not use the deadly and expensive hollow points on the practice range.
There has never been a more important tie to wake up and get active before it’s too late to create integrity and freedom-based alternatives to the looming global police state as portrayed in such movies as “V For Vendetta”, “The Matrix”, and, most recently, “The Hunger Games”. So please help us spread Thrive for free across the world and check out our “Solutions Strategies” and “What Can I Do?” sections at www.thrivemovement.com.
In my next blog, I plan to introduce you to the Thrive Sector Solutions Model that’s beginning to be employed by self-creating Thrive Solutions Groups in cities across the country and around the world.
Until then, remember, be informed, be non-violent, and be relentless.
Bye for now.
