Create Local Ordinances to Protect Against Corporate Pollution
If current laws aren’t protecting your community from corporate pollution or other environmental harms, draft your own laws.
Many communities have successfully prevented corporations from coming into their towns and polluting their air, soil, and water. The Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) assists people throughout the U.S. to draft their own local ordinances and keep polluting corporations, GMO farming, hard rock mining, factory farms, and oil and gas drilling out of their communities.
You can do the same. Take the Democracy School training to understand your constitutional rights, explore the Resources on the CELDF site, organize members in your community, and create laws that will protect yourself and future generations.
